 A Poetic And Musical Wandering

A theater turned into a construction site, deprived of its public and metamorphosed by scaffoldings gives a fascinating image conducive to inspiration and fantasy. It takes just a few steps for Christian Boltanski, Franck Krawczyk and Jean Kalman to turn the construction site of the Opéra Comique into an experimental stage and create a poetic and musical wandering, placing the audience within the event rather than in front of it.

Favart being refurbished, scaffolds, protection panels, empty rooms and dismantled decors, a chaos of scrap metal and wood, night and darkness offering a play of light and music, and surprises too. A unique stroll through the Opéra Comique as you’ve never seen it before, a sensory experience in the maze of a theater metamorphosed by renovation work.
