Audience programmes
Audience programmes are offered to school classes to extend their experience: meetings with the artistic team, with a theatre professional, access to a rehearsal, a presentation of the performance or a singing workshop. These activities are free, in addition to a booking for one or more performances, subject to availability.

Secondary school
All operas are accessible to lower and upper secondary school students. The Opéra-Comique sets aside dedicated seats at every performance for this audience.
Higher education
Alongside your visits to performances, attend free symposia and lectures throughout the year.

Off-site cultural action
The Opéra-Comique continues its commitment to active outreach across the regions. Throughout the season, the outreach team works in partner schools, social and community organisations. These encounters take the form of cultural action programmes around music, the professions of the stage and the behind-the-scenes of operatic creation. The projects are designed in connection with the season's productions and benefit from the complicity of the season's programmed artists, theatre professionals as well as members of the Opéra-Comique Académie, who share their practice and experience with participants.
Cultural and artistic education projects
Maîtrise Populaire recruitment tour
To ensure social and geographic diversity, the Maîtrise Populaire de l'Opéra-Comique organises an annual discovery tour in an Île-de-France region. This programme is aimed at Year 5 pupils and allows them to discover opera and the lyric repertoire directly in their school. By meeting children where they are, this initiative gives everyone — especially those who would not spontaneously turn up for an audition — the chance to consider the Maîtrise adventure. The Maîtrise Populaire recruitment tour is supported by the Fondation Groupe RATP.
Movement at work
In partnership with the SYLEX dance company, cultural action projects will be conducted throughout the season with students in vocational training as well as with medical and social organisations. A way for audiences to come together around dance and the professions of the opera.
The multisensory educational suitcase
Over the seasons, the outreach team develops various initiatives to reach new audiences and introduce them to the Opéra-Comique.
This season sees the culmination of a long-considered project, designed as a touring, accessible tool: the multisensory educational suitcase.
Named "Carmen to Go, behind the scenes at the Opéra-Comique", it will allow exploration of the various facets of the building and the genre of our house, while adapting to each participant.
