Competition for a pastry creation: lend a hand and concoct the Favart cake recipe with La Maison Lenôtre and the Opéra Comique

Creating a cake inspired by the Opéra Comique, such was the idea launched when the theater closed its doors in 2015 for 18 months of refurbishment. To concoct the Favart, a pastry in the image of our house to be savored on the reopening in February 2017, Lenôtre appeared as the ideal partner for this new challenge and accepted immediately. February is perfect timing as it coincides with Valentine’s Day and the 2017 season’s first production, Fantasio, a love story. We wish to carry out this special task with you, faithful patrons of the Opéra Comique, gourmets and gastronomes: imagine a cake whose essence would reflect the character of the Opéra Comique, calling to mind its productions through its taste and consistency.
