The beautiful Dulcinée is courted by many gentlemen. Flirtatious, she’s nonetheless receptive to the love of an old eccentric and dreamy knight named Don Quixote. With the help of his esquire, Sancho, Don Quixote embarks on a series of achievements to win her favours.
Massenet was seduced by Cervantès’ hero and reinvented the female character, inspiring the likes of Ravel, Ibert, Brel. This adaptation offers the opportunity to discover these three mythical characters while getting a taste of the poetry brought to théâtre by chants. With Don Quixote, imagination takes power!
