• How do I get to the Opéra Comique?

• When do the theater doors open?
The theater doors open 45 minutes before curtain through the main entrance at Place Boeildieu.
Porte 8: Access at 8 Rue Marivaux
There is a 45-minute presentation of the production 45 minutes prior to each opera.
• What if I'm late?
Doors close as soon as curtain up. Access to latecomers may be refused or subject to certain conditions.
• Is there a cloakroom?
You will find the cloakroom in the lobby of the theater. For security reasons, travel bags and suitcases are not allowed.
• Is there a dress code?
There is no particular dress code but you are requested to dress suitably.
Before the performance
• May I pick up my tickets a few days prior to the performance?
When your tickets are to be picked up at the reception desk (Contrôle), they are available on the day of the performance only, 45 minutes before curtain.
• Where do I pick up my tickets?
If you choose to pick up your tickets on the day of the performance, you are invited to do so at the reception desk (Contrôle) in the lobby of the theater up to 45 minutes before curtain.
• Are my seats next to each other (odd/even numbers)?
Even numbered seats are situated stage left and odd numbered seats are situated stage right. Thereby, seats number 2, 4, 6, 8… are next to each other on a same row and meet in the middle where seats number 1 and 2 are to be found.
• Are operas supertitled?
Opera performances are supertitled in French.
• How long does the performance last?
The duration of the performance is indicated on the website of the Opéra Comique. As for operas, information on the details of the evening is sent to attendees prior to each performance.
• Where can I buy the brochure of the production?
You may purchase the production brochure in the lobby just before the performance, during intermission or after the performance.
If you subscribe, you can buy a voucher for the brochure upon booking your tickets online and exchange it when you come to the theater on the evening of the performance.
The brochure costs €10.
• May I take photographs?
Taking photos, filming or recording a performance or part of it is forbidden. However, it is allowed during curtain call.
• How should I book?

• When should I book?
You may book a subscription online or by post. You may purchase also single tickets online, by phone or at the box office.
• Are there reduced-price tickets?
There is a 20% discount for the unemployed, the beneficiaries of the RSA, those under age 35 and persons with a disability (proof will be requested upon booking).
With the Carte Mainate, children have a privileged access to the Opéra Comique. They enjoy a 50% discount and their parents a 10% discount on all the programing* for a convivial family outing. • Are vouchers such as "chèques-culture" and "chèques-vacances" accepted for paying tickets?
These means of payment are not accepted.
• Payment for my booked seats has not been validated. Do I have to start booking from the beginning?
When an order is not validated, the seats are back on sale. You will have to book anew.
• I have not received my tickets
Your tickets are sent to your postal address up to ten days prior to the performance. In case you have not received them up to three days before the performance, you should send an e-mail to the Opéra Comique box office: email@example.com
• I cannot print my tickets
You should check your system and browser updates. If the problem persists, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org
• Can I exchange my tickets or be refunded?
Tickets cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded for whatever reason. Only subscription holders can exchange their tickets for the same production on another date.
• At what age are children admitted?
There is no minimal age to attend productions. However, you are advised to take notice of the content and duration of the performance before booking.
Children must have tickets to attend a performance.
Those under age 28 enjoy reduced priced tickets.
A special programming intended for the family is available on our website. Children enjoy special priced tickets to these productions.
• Is the theater equipped for those with a disability?
Accessibility is provided to persons with disabilities:
16 seats are reserved for persons with mobility impairment.
The auditorium is equipped with hearing induction loops that enhance listening conditions for persons with hearing impairment.
Three productions in audio description are accessible to the blind and persons with visual impairments.

• What is the minimum number of people considered as a group?
You are considered as a group when you buy at least 10 seats per performance

General terms of sale
Tickets cannot be returned. Please check your tickets upon reception as complaints resulting from errors of date, production or price will not be accepted subsequently. Resale of tickets at a higher price than the price mentioned on them is prohibited (law of 27 June 1919).
Performances begin at the precise hour: access to latecomers may be refused or subject to certain conditions according to venues and productions (please inquire with the theater).
In the event that a performance is cancelled beyond half of its duration, tickets will not be refunded.
The Opéra Comique may alter the program or the cast. In such an event, tickets will not be exchanged or refunded.
For security reasons, travel bags and suitcases are not allowed.
