Three centuries of theatrical life, a repertoire of over 3,000 titles, dozens of professions, and connections across mainland France and overseas territories: by retracing the history of the Opéra-Comique from the perspective of women, our seminars have, since 2019, been restoring the legacy of female authors, composers, performers including Offenbach’s directors, and spectators who, just as much as men, have shaped and continue to shape France’s operatic world. In partnership with the Institute for Musicological Research (CNRS - Sorbonne Université) and Université Paris 8 Vincennes - Saint-Denis.
