Conductor and director of the Opéra-Comique, Louis Langrée works with young singers from Juilliard on repertoire and interpretation.
This masterclass highlights the convergence of two pedagogical and artistic traditions, bringing together perspectives on style, language, and stage presence.
It builds on the exchanges initiated in New York and illustrates the practical dimension of this international program, which is based on artist mobility and hands-on practice.
In 2026, the Opéra-Comique, in collaboration with The Juilliard School and the Villa Albertine, launched a Franco-American educational and cultural exchange partnership.
This program is part of the Campus Favart initiative, led by Louis Langrée, which places the transmission of knowledge and training at the heart of the institution’s mission. It brings together young artists from the Opéra-Comique Academy and Juilliard’s Marcus Institute for Vocal Arts for masterclasses, workshops, and concerts in Paris and New York.
Conceived as a true international artistic laboratory, this partnership fosters the convergence of artistic practices, repertoires, and generations, while offering artists hands-on experience with the stage and collaborative work.
