After studying at the CNSMDP, Catherine Trottmann made her debut with the Vienna State Opera Ensemble. She was quickly invited to perform on major international stages, including the Paris Opera, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Carnegie Hall, Berlin Philharmonic, and the Edinburgh and Aix-en-Provence festivals. Nominated for the Victoires de la Musique awards in 2017, she won the Manhattan International Competition and became an HSBC laureate of the Académie du Festival d'Aix. Her roles include Leïla (Les Pêcheurs de perles) and Adina (L’elisir d’amore). She regularly sings Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) in Paris, as well as in Le Comte Ory, Il Turco in Italia, and La Cenerentola on numerous stages. She also performs Mozart (Zerlina, Don Giovanni; Cherubino, Le Nozze di Figaro) and several roles from the French repertoire, including La Demoiselle élue, L'Enfant et les Sortilèges and the creation of the role of the Rose in Le Petit Prince M. Levinas. She was recently invited to sing Angelo (La Resurrezione) under the direction of A. De Marchi in Oslo and J. Chauvin at the Saint-Michel en Thiérache and Froville festivals. Among her recent engagements, she has performed Jemmy (Guillaume Tell) at La Scala and the title role in L’Incoronazione di Poppea in Rennes, at the TCE, and for the Nederlandse Reisopera. In 2025-2026, she will sing in Handel's Ariodante (Ginevra), conducted by S. Plewniak and directed by N. Briançon at the Opéra Royal de Versailles, Offenbach's Robinson Crusoé (Edwige), directed by L. Pelly and conducted by G. Tourniaire in Rennes, Angers, and Nantes, as well as Don Giovanni (Zerlina), conducted by K. Müllner and directed by A. Jaoui at the Opéra de Dijon. She is making her debut at the Opéra-Comique.
