Yoan Héreau performs regularly as a soloist both in recitals and with orchestra in such works as the Piano Concerto no. 2 by Chopin, Bach’s Concerto in D minor, the Piano Concerto in D minor no. 20, K. 466 by Mozart, Poulenc’s Concerto for two pianos as well as in chamber music. He has worked with conductors like Philippe Jourdan, Marc Minkowski, Daniel Harding and Philippe Herreweghe both in France, at the Paris Opera, the Cité de la Musique, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and the Châtelet Theatre, and abroad.

He has taken part in numerous new productions including Aliados by Sebastian Rivas, La Passion de Simone by Kaija Saariaho (chamber version), Thanks to my eyes by Oscar Bianchi, Mitsou by Claire-Mélanie Sinnhuber, and Paraboles by Noel Lee.

In March 2003, he commissioned seven new works inspired by the poetry of Paul Verlaine at the Paris Conservatoire. Since joining the Atelier Lyrique, he has been responsible for the piano rehearsals for the new opera Maudit les Innocents at the Bastille Amphithéâtre, Iphigénie en Tauride at the Theatre in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and Così fan tutte at the Maison des Arts in Créteil.
