Originally from Brussels, Thibault Vancraenenbroeck trained in Florence, where he designed sets and costumes for dance, theatre and opera. 

He has worked with Frédéric Dussenne, Enzo Pezzella, Dominique Baguette, Barbara Manzetti, Olga de Soto, Pierre Droulers, Charlie Degotte, Sébastien Chollet, Isabelle Marcelin and Didier Payen, Nathalie Mauger, Pascale Binnert, Yves Beaunesne, Sybille Cornet, Sofie Kokaj, Marc Liebens, Françoise Berlanger, Cindy van Acker, Alexis Moati, Anna van Brée, Perrine Valli, Florence Lloret, François Girard, Andréa Novicov, Rolando Villazon, Maya Boësch, Pierrick Sorin, Christophe Honoré, Richard Brunel, Jorge Leon, Carole Errante, Simone Aughterlony. He has worked with Stéphane Braunschweig since 1995 on all his productions, both for the theatre and the opera. 

With Yoshi Oida, he designed the costumes for Madame Butterfly at the Göteborg Opera and War Requiem at the Opéra de Lyon.

Other projects include two video installations based on texts by Maurice Blanchot and a photographic project in collaboration with Grégoire Romefort. 

From 2001 to 2008, he was a regular lecturer and member of the jury at the École supérieure d'art dramatique of the Théâtre national de Strasbourg for the "scenography and costumes" section, and at the Royal Academy of Antwerp for the "costumes" section.
