Each season, the Opéra-Comique trains a new generation of young professional singers and pianists in the art of the "spoken-sung". In collaboration with the Comédie-Française, readings-concerts will be presented at Librairie 7L and in the Foyer, celebrating poetry and vocal music.
A first series will explore the animal world through texts by Jean de La Fontaine, Guillaume Apollinaire and Jules Renard, set to music by Isabelle Aboulker, Francis Poulenc and Maurice Ravel. Another series will invite audiences on a journey through the work of Charles Baudelaire, accompanied by melodies of Henri Duparc and Claude Debussy.
