What would French music be without the Italians? Best not to ponder the question. Instead, let’s meet the ultramontane artists who have contributed to the liveliness of creativity and institutions since the Renaissance. Paired up with the Comédie-Italienne in the XVIIIth century, the Opéra-Comique inaugurates a series of seminars exploring the beautiful and successful relationship between the two institutions.
