See all the castThis Offenbach Opéra-féérie, inspired by two novels of Jules Verne, From the Earth to the Moon and Journey to the center of the Earth, met with resounding success in 1875. Compelling songs, enchanting or humorous ballets, lively choirs, a procession of amazing characters … set a richly plotted story, which ends on a wonderful Earth-light.
Laurent Pelly and Agathe Mélinand adapted this exceptional artwork to the Salle Favart as well as to the many talents of the Opéra Comique’s Maîtrise Populaire. Under Alexandra Cravero’s brisk baton, the ‘Frivolités Parisiennes’ wholeheartedly revive this great musical comedy, with music, inventiveness and a team spirit which will dazzle young and old.
