Most people don’t know that rope-dancers and acrobats originally performed at the Opéra Comique, forerunning character dance whose eloquence and virtuosity won Paris and the European Enlightenment era over. The institution’s choreographic life, the history of its ballet and stars deserve a first seminar packed with public demonstrations and workshops.
