Rosie studied music at the University of Bristol and trained as a Director at the King’s Head Theatre in London. She has directed The Diary of One Who Disappeared, Opera Highlights, Susanna’s Secret, Zanetto for Scottish Opera and La Petite Boheme for Opera North.
Assistant director credits include: L’Orfeo (Wiener Staatsoper), Peter Grimes (Teatro Real), Madama Butterfly, Coraline (Royal Opera House), Akhnaten (English National Opera), Breaking the Waves (Edinburgh International Festival), Street Scene, La Boheme (Opera North), Rigoletto, Il Trovatore (Scottish Opera), Elisabetta, Gianni Schicci, Il Tabarro, Tosa, Patience (English Touring Opera). In June 2023 Rosie will direct the revival of The Bartered Bride for Garsington Opera.
