This is a historic first for the Salle Favart which offers comprehensive training in three academic cycles to youths between 11 and 25 years of age. Choral and solo singing, drama, modern dance and tap dance will be taught by professionals in partnership with the Conservatoire de Paris. Each year, training courses will lead to musical and choreographic productions with professionals of the Opéra Comique, including some productions scheduled throughout the seasons.

Dedicated classes will be given at the Collège François Couperin in Paris. Weekly multidisciplinary classes will enable children to discover the various performing arts and prepare them to enter the Maîtrise.

As a result from collaboration with the Compagnie Sans Père, the Maîtrise is supported by the Ville de Paris, the Ministère de l’Education Nationale and the Ministère de la Culture.

This new page will lead to further ones in the future. For the Opéra Comique, the objective is twofold: enable new generations to familiarize with musical and vocal learning and open up new horizons to these budding singers.

The submission of applications for the 2016-2017 season will end on 3 June at 12 pm.

Applications must be e-mailed to inscription@compagniesanspere.fr or sent to 32 rue François Miron, 75004 Paris
