The 24/25 season embodies the vibrancy, openness and accessibility of the Favart Spirit, which unfolds in every corner of our opera house as well as on many stages of partner theatres and at the Musée d’Orsay…

From the Baroque period, with Jean-Philippe Rameau, to contemporary creations such as two operas by George Benjamin and Clara Olivares, via Auber and Gounod’s comic operas… we are inviting you to share an amasing array of compositions spanning four centuries of music. Let yourself be overwhelmed by the wrath of Cherubini’s Médée, bathe your innermost soul in the fate of Gounod’s Faust in its original version, and last, join the dance with two dramatic ballets by Gluck.

New artists and our most loyal ones are all here at home. Marie-Ève Signeyrole will be presenting her first stage direction at the Opéra-Comique and we will be happy to celebrate William Christie’s birthday on the occasion of the performance of Les Fêtes d’Hébé.

The Favart Spirit is also about disseminating our opera house’s repertoire to make it live and thrive. The Opéra- Comique is involving both its young artistic forces: the Maîtrise Populaire will invest the opera house with a tailor- made festive show while the Académie will deploy its talents during the "Pléiades", as many invitations to discover and exchange. Recitals, open-doors, seminars, masterclasses and after-shows with the artists will add to the abundance while "Open stage" evenings will welcome opera lovers and offer them the privilege of singing on the Salle Favart’s very own stage.

With the state’s support for our production and dissemination policy, we extend our warmest thanks to our patrons, and in particular to Aline Foriel-Destezet, who enable us to develop ambitious exemplary projects.

The Opéra-Comique’s alchemy emanates from the meaningful encounter of the arts of song, poetry, music and dance. Many thanks to you, loyal and new spectators, for sharing these experiences with the Opéra-Comique !
