This season, canadian soprano Mélanie Boisvert is the lead role cover of Lulu (Berg) at the Théâtre Royal de La Monnaie / De Munt in Brussels under the baton of Alain Altinoglu. Futur projects include Le Cosmicomiche for the Opéra de Nice/Festival Manca, the CD recording of  Schönberg's Von Heute Auf Morgen with Ensemble Nigella, Elisabeth in  Phillip Glass' Les enfants terribles with La Coopérative/Opéra de Rennes and on a France-wide tour.

Recently, Mélanie Boisvert took on the lead female roles in the dyptich of Schönberg's Von Heute Auf Morgen and Offenbach's Les trois baisers du diable at the Théâtre de l'Athénée in Paris. A live recording of the lattest was released in 2021 with Magelone. She also created roles such as: Mme B. in S. Rivas' Rayon "N" with T&M and the Ensemble Intercontemporain, sang the solo soprano in Frank Zappa's 200 Motels at the Paris Philharmonic and the Festival Musica in Strasbourg, the Nurse in S. Rivas' Aliados at the Venice Bienale, the soprano solo in M. Reverdy's Le Cosmicomiche  for Opéra de Toulon, Olympia in  Les Folies d'Offenbach at the Festival de Montpellier. She also collaborated with La Monnaie/De Munt in P. Dusapin's world-premieres of Macbeth Underground  (1st Witch cover) and Penthesilea (Protoe cover). She gave a concert series with Laurent Campellone and the Orchestre de Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and Stravinsky/Delage concerts with the Ensemble Nigella at the JOURNÉES RAVEL.

Following her studies in piano and voice in Toronto (Prof. T. Torlone) and Cologne , Germany (Prof. B. Schlick and Prof. K. Kelly), the Timmins Ontario native soprano made her stage début in France in 2002 as Olympia in Strasbourg's Opéra National du Rhin as a result of the 4th prize at the Concours International de Montréal des Jeunesses Musicales.
Mélanie Boisvert has sung the Königin der Nacht  in Die Zauberflöte, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, Lakmé, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera, Nannetta in Falstaff, the lead role in Stravinsky's Nightingale, the Charmeuse in Thaïs, la Fée in Cendrillon de Massenet, Ännchen in Der Freischütz, le Feu, la Princesse and Le Rossignol in L’Enfant et les sortilèges, Gabrielle in La Vie parisienne, Cunégonde in Candide...in french and foreign theaters and festivals such as Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg, Festival Radio-France in Montpellier, Théâtre royal de la Monnaie / de Munt, Wiener Volksoper , Liège, Genua, Strasbourg, Lyon, Nancy, Avignon, Saint-Etienne, Toulon, Nice, Rennes, Rouen, Bordeaux, Montréal, Ottawa, Québec... She collaborated with  Alain Altinoglu, Evelino Pidò, Jan Latham-Koenig, Laurence Equilbey...

She recorded Honneger's Jeanne d’Arc au Bûcher (la Vierge), an award-winning ARTE productions at the french Victoires de la Musique 2008. For Timpani, she recorded Aucassin et Nicolette (Paul Le Flem) and  french songs of Philippe Gaubert.
