Liochka Massabie is a young French conductor, choir director, and orchestrator. He is currently the musical director of the Ensemble Enosis and the vocal ensemble Les Temps Dérobés. He is also assistant conductor to Kristiina Poska at the Orchestre Français des Jeunes and has just been appointed assistant conductor and member of the Académie de l'Opéra-Comique. He is a graduate of the CNSMDL in Lionel Sow's class and the CNSMDP in Alain Altinoglu's class. He has participated in numerous masterclasses, notably with Raphaël Pichon, Mikko Franck, and David Reiland. In 2022, he won third prize at the Wrocław International Conducting Competition. Liochka Massabie has collaborated with numerous ensembles, including the Orchestre National d'Île-de-France, the Orchestre National de Metz, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, the Ensemble Balthasar Neumann, and the Chœur de Radio France. In 2025, Liochka made his debut with the Lyon Opera Orchestra and the Lorraine Opera.

He is a member of the Académie de l'Opéra-Comique (class of 2025/2026).

The Academie of the Opera-Comique

Key player in lyric creation for over three centuries, the Opéra-Comique opened its Acadé​mie in 2023.

It is aimed at young artists at the start of their careers, singers, conductors and vocal coaches, who wish to train in the unique world of opéra-comique. The programme is paid and runs for a full season, preparing participants for their professional careers.
