What better association than the Opéra-Comique, the Palazzetto Bru Zane - Centre de Musique Romantique Française and the Musée d'Orsay to talk about French Love ou d'"Amour à la Française"?!

The perfect connection between music, theatre, pictorial art and sculpture.  Both Belle Epoque and modern, the performance offers a light and subtle opportunity to consider Love from various angles. You’ll discover four strong-willed women of great charm who pursue a young bumbling naïf through various games of seduction. Performed by the soloists of the Opéra-Comique’s Académie, musical works of art by Jacques Offenbach, Reynaldo Hahn, Gaston Serpette, Hervé and Louis Varney resonate with the paintings exhibited under the dome of the Musée d’Orsay. Whether intimate or dazzling, each courtship scene is an excuse to play with words, double meanings and self-irony.  A real delight!

Artistic direction Hervé Niquet, Alexandre Dratwicki • Stage direction Héloïse Sérazin • Soloists Académie de l’Opéra-Comique : Camille Chopin, Floriane Derthe (sopranos), Juliette Gauthier, Marion Vergez-Pascal (mezzo sopranos), Abel Zamora (ténor) •  Pianist Artiste de l’Académie: Héloïse Bertrand-Oleari

The Opéra-Comique is crossing the river Seine !

Buoyed by their interwoven XIXth century lyrical and architectural heritage, the Musée d’Orsay and the Opéra-Comique come together to organise a series of concerts and short operatic performances. Several performances echo the museum’s collections.

On 18th June 2023, the Maîtrise Populaire is taking over the museum’s dome for a choreographic concert with a capella performances.

In November 2023, the Opéra-Comique is presenting the young artists of its new Académie with a show directed by Héloïse Sérazin « L’Amour à la française », featuring several operas by Charles LeCoq, Reynaldo Hahn, Hervé… and composed in collaboration with the Palazzetto BruZane… On 21st June 2024, the adventure continues with an original performance by young members of the Opéra-Comique’s Académie.

The adventure will continue with the 2024-2025 season …
