The Gala Organising Committee launches today a silent auction which will be closed at 11pm on the 18th of November. Environmental responsibility
This event was developed in accordance with anti-waste and environmental responsibility values. It fits in with the Opéra Comique’ sustainable development scheme. The feathers used for the event are recycled from previous creations, no animal was harmed. The mounted birds come from zoos, circuses or animal parks and died of natural causes. The plants are rented in pots so as to be used again, and the costumes and decors are from previous productions of the Opéra Comique.

What will the funds be used for?
For the last twenty years, the Opéra Comique has been influential in France and all over the world, as far as China. Its productions, renown for their audacity and creativity, its commitment to accessibility and the training the opéra Comique offers young talents, make it a dynamic and innovative opera house. The funds collected during the event will support the Opéra Comique’s societal schemes and its programming.
