Ewan trained at Arts Educational Schools London and gained a BA in Musical Theatre. After several years as a performer, he went back to school and earned a Masters in Choreography. His work in Musical Theatre and Opera has taken him internationally, and most recently, he returned from Dubai where he was staging the critically acclaimed new version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera". Other international credits include "Matilda" (Norway); "Something Rotten!" and "Sister Act" (Germany); productions of "The Phantom of the Opera" in Romania, Norway, Greece, Bulgaria, and Saudi Arabia; "Der Mond" in Lyon and "L’Etoile" in Lisbon.

Notable productions in the UK include "Candide!" for Welsh National Opera, "The Barber of Seville," "Fantasia," and "Vert Vert" for Garsington Opera, "The Yeomen of the Guard" for the Grange Festival, "She Loves Me" and "The Wizard of Oz" for Sheffield Crucible, "Travels with my Aunt" at Chichester Festival Theatre, "Ragtime" at Charing Cross Theatre, "The Tales of Hoffman" for ETO, "Ariodante" and "Giove In Argo" for the International Handel Festival, and "Don Pasquale" for Opera Holland Park.

In 2019, Ewan joined the production team for the hit TV series "Sex Education" on Netflix and became movement coordinator and choreographer for Seasons 2 & 3. Following that, he was invited to join Disney+ as movement director for their upcoming series "The Ballad of Renegade Nell."

Ewan has choreographed work for various drama schools, including Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Guildhall, RADA, RAM, RCM, Bird College, Arts Educational Schools London, LSMT, and Guildford School of Acting.
