In the operatic repertoire, the characters of domestic servants are far from occupying a subordinate position when you see the plot through their eyes and listen to them talk about what's really going on. These characters, along with the men and women who work to maintain the theatre before it opens to the public, inspired a text by Emmanuelle Cordoliani and a score by Pierre-Emmanuel Faye. The creation of their cantata will be accompanied by extracts from the repertoire, all performed by singers and musicians from the CNSMDP and illustrated live by twelve scientific illustrators from the École Estienne. Graphic gestures and projected images resonate with the music of words, voices and instruments in an immersive setting.
