Yvette Deseyve

Dr Yvette Deseyve, Deputy Director of the Alte Nationalgalerie Berlin. Studied art history in Munich, completed her dissertation and subsequent traineeship at the Bavarian National Museum and the Neue Sammlung. From 2010 to 2017, she was curator at the Gerhard Marcks House in Bremen and lecturer at the university. Since 2017, she has been curator of the Old National Gallery and Friedrichswerder Church, responsible for the sculpture department. Numerous publications on the training situation of female artists and sculpture in the 19th and 20th centuries. The author is a board member of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Bildhauermuseen und Skulpturensammlungen e. V. (Working Group of Sculpture Museums and Sculpture Collections), as well as an advisory board member of the Edwin Scharff Foundation and a member of the board of trustees of the Georg Kolbe Museum.
