Sylvie Olivé is a set designer and creator of film sets. After starting out as a theatre assistant, she began her career in the cinema in 1990, designing the sets for Ch. Vincent's film La Discrète. Throughout her career, she has worked on over forty films. A long-time partner of G. Gallienne, she designed the sets for Les Garçons et Guillaume, à table ! (which earned her her second César nomination in 2014), Oblomov, and Marilyn. In 2013, she received her first César nomination for R. Roinsart's film Populaire. In 2009 she won the Best Set Design award for Mr Nobody by J. Van Dormael at the 66th Venice Film Festival. She also works as a set designer with the choreographers M.A. de Mey in Belgium and K. Belarbi in Toulouse. She is also a member of the Kiss & Cry collective, behind the two shows Kiss & Cry and Cold Blood. Her career has taken her abroad on several occasions (New York, Montreal, Tokyo, Berlin, Brussels, etc.). At the same time, she is involved in sculpture and design.
