Marco Giusti was born in Moruzzo, Italy, in 1977. After studying contemporary history in Trieste, he moved to Milan, where he obtained a degree in theatre direction. His visual training took place under the guidance of painter and lighting designer Gabriele Amadori.

Over the last few years, he has designed lighting for theatres in Italy and Europe, including the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Opéra de Lausanne, the Opera di Roma, the Theater St. Gallen, the Festival d'Avignon, the Opéra National de Paris, the Teatro Real Madrid, the TNS Strasbourg, the Opéra Ballet de Genève, the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, La Monnaie in Brussels, the Copenhagen Opera House, the Opéra-Comique in Paris and the Comédie Française. He works as a lighting consultant with architectural firms and with artists such as Romeo Castellucci, Giorgio Barberio Corsetti, Adriano Sinivia, Charles Berling, Fabio Chersitch, Lorenzo Amato, Elena Barbalich, Alessandro Talevi, Laurent Pelly and Silvia Costa.
