Kein Licht world premiere at the Ruhrtriennale

Kein Licht – commissioned by the Opéra Comique – by Philippe Manoury and Nicolas Stemann on a text by Elfriede Jelinek received its world premiere on August 25th at the Ruhrtriennale in Germany. This thinkspiel inspired by the Fukushima disaster is scheduled at the Musica festival in Strasbourg and Mulhouse, the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, the Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg before being performed at Salle Favart between 18 to 22 October. An international cooperation led by a team of outstanding co-producers: Ruhrtriennale , Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg, Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, Musica festival in Strasbourg and Opéra du Rhin,  Münchner Kammerspiele, IRCAM-Centre Pompidou, United Instruments of Lucilin and 105 individuals donators. This opera that combines electronic music and polyphonic texts was awarded the FEDORA – Rolf Liebermann Prize for opera in 2016.
