Hamlet 150 years later: rehearsals at Berthier!
Ambroise Thomas’s Hamlet had its world premiere in 1868. A work much performed in the nineteenth century that seems to have been forgotten since then. Hamlet is being revived today at the Opéra Comique with Cyril Teste as director, who renews our view on this opera, while Louis Langrée and the Orchestre des Champs-Elysées glorify the music of Ambroise Thomas, always faithful to the dramaturgy.
